PRESS RELEASE - November 24th 2004 The General Synod of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church elected on November 24th, 2004 The Very Revd Andres Põder as a new archbishop for the EELC. Andres Põder is 55 years old ordained minister and works currently as a priest in Pärnu parish and as a dean for Pärnu deanery. He is also a member of the Consistory of the EELC. The Consistory of the EELC has decided that the new head of the EELC will be consecrated at the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord, on February 2nd, 2005 in the Cathedral Church of Tallinn. 24.11.2004
