Rainbow – God’s covenant with humanity
Junipers – Christ’s suffering and his coronation with the crown of thorns
Cross – ascension of Christ
Lilies of the valley – Christ’s coming
Estonian landscape, spruces and firs symbolise God’s chosen people who despise low desires

Bulrushes – salvation

People coming home and heading out
Water – cleaning and cleansing
Storks – true life and vigilance for truth, faithfulness
Lark, eagle

Virgins with lamps, light, clouds, stag, almond tree, thistle, goldfinch, columbine, violet, clover
Oak – Christian perseverance in the face of adversity and difficulties, firm faith and virtue
Spruce, stars – divine favour and guidance

 

 

Ceiling

Angels – God’s messengers, heavenly beatitude
Vine leaves and buds – leaf form developed by the Karja master
